The palate is soft and plush at first, then the pure mountain tannins begin to build. More blackcurrant, tar, iodine and vanilla bean are present on the palate. The tannins in this wine are immensely chalky; being mountain wine, the natural acidity brings this wine into balance. Structurally very strong and solid, while still being elegant.
