Everything in this wine exudes goodness and strength. It starts with the intense deep red colour with purple reflections and continues in the remarkably sultry nose with violets, ripe black blackberries and berries, herbs, a hint of balsamic vinegar and a hint of tobacco. Stiff and yet supple in the mouth with complex, velvety tannins. A tough wood matured Italian who also shows his soft character in the finish. Delicious!
