The Hayman family calls itself the longest serving Gin distilling family in England with a 5th generation now in the biz. Sloe Gin is their traditional liqueur made by steeping English sloe berries (a wild, large plum-like berry that’s the fruit of the Blackthorn tree, native to Europe) in Hayman’s gin for several months before adding sugars. The result is a bright ruby red liqueur with intense plum flavours. Tangy sweet with a neat touch of bitterness along with notes of juniper and other gin botanicals, it’s great chilled as a digestive, on the rocks, or in a cocktail.
