Drink now - 2016
After a long maceration of three weeks, the 2000 Neo was aged in 75% new American oak barrels and 25% new French, where malolactic took place, and was bottled unfiltered. An opaque purple color accompanies a gorgeous perfume of creosote, truffles, new saddle leather, roasted meats, graphite, and creme de cassis. This luscious, full-bodied, concentrated red possesses moderate tannin, but it is well-integrated into the richly extracted, multilayered personality of this beautifully proportioned Ribera del Duero. It will drink well for 10-12 years.
